NAFCOC endorses the launch of KZN Premier Mr. Sihle Zikalala Development Trust and calls for all businesses, big and small to donate and support this noble and good initiative.
NAFCOC national leadership led by the Acting President Mr. Gilbert Mosena accompanied by NAFCOC KZN Provincial delegation, attended the official launch of The Sihle Zikalala’s Development Trust on the 1st of April
2021. “After the detailed presentation of the vision and objectives by Premier Sihle Zikalala, NAFCOC welcomed, and endorsed in a partnership spirit, the brilliant idea and objectives of the SZD Trust which amongst others,
focuses on community and social- economic development and uplifting small medium enterprises in impoverished communities as well as promotion of black industrialist’s programme, the objectives that resonate, well with that of NAFCOC as the oldest, largest, and progressive Chamber of Commerce and Industry in South Africa, “said Mr. Gilbert Mosena
Mr. Mosena further urged and appealed to all other business and community development organisations, big business, and small enterprises to give their full support, partner, and aid this noble course by the country’s,
youngest Premier. As part of NAFCOC’s vision, mission, and core values of upliftment of small businesses in general and black owned businesses in particular, the importance of collaborations, and public-private sector partnerships that will uncompromisingly have the inclusion and participation of youth, women & people living with disabilities. Projects such as this present the perfect opportunity to partner with the private sector and develop communities hardest hit by economic issues that continue to plague the country, are hereby further stressed in support of SZD Trust. NAFCOC delegation also met the Board of Cato Ridge Logistics Hub Project for investments and support for its members and the local businesses as part of black economic empowerment. This project was recently launched and endorsed by the government. NAFCOC as part of the project is calling upon both the National, Provincial, and respective State-Owned Enterprises to put their moneys where their mouths are. ” We are encouraging the parties and stakeholders in the project to consider organizing the mini-investment summit to showcase the project to all our prospecting funding partners such as PIC, IDC, ABSA, DBSA, BRICS Bank and many others.” said Acting President of NAFCOC Mr.SG Mosena.
